Starting Monday November 14, 2016, Casa Central will be participating in its 3rd Annual Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. In honor of this event, we invite and encourage you to complete the SNAP challenge. Join us to bring awareness to @casacentral and the #SNAPCHALLENGE.
SNAP challenge details:
For one-week step into the shoes of someone who receives SNAP benefits (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program). Challenge yourself to create healthy, well-rounded meals for $4.50 per day for 7 days.
Instructions:
1) Take a look at the chart below to determine what your weekly SNAP benefits would be like according to your household.
2) Go grocery shopping and take a picture of all your food and the amount spent.
3) Take pictures of your breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the week.
4) Share your pictures and your experience @CasaCentral on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter with #SNAPCHALLENGE
