Ann R. Alvarez
President & CEO
Ann has served as the President & CEO of Casa Central since 1989. A long time resident of Chicago, she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Northeastern University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago - School of Social Service Administration. Before coming to Casa Central, Ann served the Humboldt Park and West Town communities as a certified social worker in the Chicago Public Schools and as a therapist and supervisor in several community agencies. As the President & CEO of Casa Central, Ann’s leadership has cultivated a strong growth period for the agency, whose programs have expanded to address the changing needs of Chicago’s Hispanic community.
Originally from New York City, Ann has lived in Chicago since 1965. She and her husband, Reverend Daniel Alvarez, President Emeritus, have two sons and four grandchildren, and enjoy taking them to Navy Pier and the lakefront.
