Home Care Services Program

The Home Care Services program employs an estimated 200 caretakers who visit homebound seniors throughout the city. Their responsibilities include helping the seniors with a variety of crucial tasks, such as personal care, shopping, food preparation and cleaning.

This invaluable program enables seniors, who might otherwise be confined to a nursing home, to maintain a relatively independent lifestyle for a much longer period than might be possible without such care. An added benefit is the provision of additional employment opportunities within the community.
