Amanda McMillen, LCSW
Deputy Director of Children, Youth, and Employment Services

Amanda became Deputy Director of the agency’s Children, Youth, and Employment Services in 2012. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Bluffton University and a Master’s Degree in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University. Early in her career, Amanda provided counseling to adolescent parents and children in foster care, and worked to reduce youth substance abuse. Before coming to Casa Central, she served as the Director of an Early Head Start program on Chicago’s southwest side. In her role as Deputy Director, Amanda supervises Casa Central’s youth- and individual-centered programming, including the Head Start Early Learning Academy, Out-of-School-Time Programming, and the Employment Training Program.

Amanda loves working at Casa Central because of the agency’s integrity. “Casa Central lives its values, and focuses on participants and employees, making sure both groups know they are cared for.” She and her wife have twin sons and a daughter, who as a family enjoy taking in Millennium Park’s Taste of Chicago and the free summer concerts, as well as river boat tours.
