deputy director of children, youth & Employment training services
Mary was promoted to Deputy Director of Children, Youth & Employment Training Services after 8 years as the Program Director for Casa Central's Violence Prevention & Intervention Program. Mary holds her MSW and M.A. in Women's Studies from Loyola University in Chicago, and has extensive experience working with survivors of domestic violence and children who have experienced trauma. Ms. Reynolds also received a post-graduate certification in Infant Mental Health from the Erikson Institute, and holds a specialized credential as an Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health specialist (I/ECMH-C).
As a Deputy Director, Mary Reynolds now oversees the Early Learning Academy, School-Age Program, Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U.) program, and the Violence Prevention & Intervention Program. "There are amazing people who come to Casa Central every day – our staff, our volunteers, our participants, our partners," Mary says about her time working at Casa Central. "I feel so fortunate to be among such dedicated, warm and wonderful people." In her free time, Mary enjoys exploring different neighborhoods with her partner and their dog, Vega, cheering on Chicago sports teams (go Cubs!) and working in her garden.
