Position Title:Home-Based Educator
Department/Program: Children Services-Home-Based Head Start
Reports to: Site Director

Job Summary:
The Home-Based educator is responsible for the implementation and documenting of home-based curriculum based on Head Start Performance Standards in the educational, nutritional, health, social service, and parent involvement components. The home-based educator will function as a part of the team in the implementation and documentation of socializations. He/she must be flexible, have the ability to develop rapport with parents and work within the framework of the program’s philosophy and objectives. This job requires a minimum of 60% traveling time to and from home visits with families..

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma with 9 hours of Child Development college level. A minimum of 6 months experience working with young children is required.

Language Skills:
Bilingual in English and Spanish REQUIRED. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Excellent writing skills. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Position Title:Teacher Aide
Department/Program: Children Services-Casa Infantil
Reports to: Teacher

Job Summary:
This job is responsible for functioning as a member of the teaching team. Responsible for the education and general development of children in a Head Start Center.

Education/Experience:
Completion of CDA or a minimum of 12 hours in Early childhood Education or Child Development and currently enrolled to complete AA.

Position Title: Site Director
Department/Program: Children Services-CSC
Reports to: Deputy Director of Children Services

Job Summary:
This is a comprehensive early learning program for children, ages 2 through 5. The program serves a total of 70 children; Has three staff members per classroom;Certified and Teach for America teachers in the 3-5 year old classrooms; Family support staff to work with parents; Education Coordinator on site; Is a delegate of the Ounce of Prevention Fund. This center is a collaborative program of Head Start, child care, and Preschool for All which supports the program and staff.

Education/Experience:
B.A. in Early Childhood Education or Social Work or related field with eighteen semester or equivalent quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, form birth to age six. Experience in working in early childhood settings in a leadership role. Experience with Head Start and child care standards is preferred.

Position Title: Home Care Aide (Part Time)
Department/Program: Home Care Services
Reports to: Field Supervisor

Job Summary:
Perform or assist clients in their homes with personal care, essential shopping or errands, routine housekeeping skills/tasks, home maintenance and repairs; teaching/performing of meal planning and preparation; laundry; assisting with self-administered medication; individual must have the ability to lift 25 pounds or more and climb up and down the stairs (i.e. laundry bags, assist clients by lifting them if they fall or need assistance).

Education/Experience:
HS Diploma/GED or one (1) year of homecare direct service or related work. Must participate in pre-training or have experience in homecare related services.

Language Skills:
MUST be bilingual (English/Spanish fluency).

Position Title: Case Manager-Intact Family Services
Department/Program: Intact Family Services
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary:
Provides in-home counseling and case management services to DCFS-involved intact families. Assesses family functioning and service needs, collaborates with family in completing client service plans, makes inter- and intra-agency referrals for appropriate services. Provides ongoing assessment of family functioning, completes a written assessment, a treatment summary and a court progress report on each family. Appears in juvenile court when necessary. Access to an automobile is essential in order for the worker to make home visits, attend agency meetings, staffing, court appearances, transportation of clients, etc. Worker travels extensively throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and may on occasion be expected to transport clients and go up or down stairs.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field.

Language Skills:
Bilingual/Bicultural in Spanish and English with good written communication skills in both languages.

Position Title: Clinical Supervisor
Department/Program: Intact Family Services
Reports to: Director of Child Welfare

Job Summary:
Coordinates a team of 7 case managers (CMs) who provide family preservation services to Intact DCFS client/families. Provides clinical supervision, training and case consultation to all program case managers on all cases. The supervisor ensures that day-to-day program activities are carried out efficiently. Supports the Teen Parenting Service Network’ supervisor and workers when needed. Works under direct supervision of the Director of Child Welfare Services.

Education/Experience:
M.S.W. or M.A in a related Human Services field plus two years of experience in a family and children’s services setting or a Bachelors degree in Social Work or related field and five years experience post bachelors degree in a family and children’s services setting. Experience with DCFS and child welfare issues is necessary.

Language Skills:
Bilingual/Bicultural in Spanish and English with good written communication skills in both languages.

Position Title: Driver (Part-Time)
Department/Program: Transportation
Reports to: Transportation Manager

Job Summary:
This job is responsible for transporting participants to and from the facility on a daily basis and during special events as requested. The driver will report any routine problems to Transportation Coordinator immediately. The regular schedule is Monday thru Friday 1:00PM to 6:30PM, may be requested to work additional hours if needed.

Education/Experience:
CDL and the ability to read and write are required. Must have experience driving a van or other large vehicle. Must also have experience working with aged or frail adults and children.

Language Skills:
Bilingual/Bicultural in English and Spanish. Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
