Chicago, IL (July 13, 2021) – Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy (ELA) is enrolling children 0-5 for its fall program. Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy has a well-established reputation for enhancing the lives of children and families through its comprehensive child and family development program, which serves 0-5 year old children and their families throughout the Chicagoland area.

“Our Center-Based and Home-Based programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to age 5. In addition to education services, Casa Central’s programs provide children and their families with health, nutrition, social, and other services,” said Vice President of Children’s Services, Mary Reynolds. “Our services are responsive to each child and family's ethnic, cultural, and linguistic heritage.”

Children that participate in Head Start programs receive innumerable benefits. These advantages appear immediately, last a lifetime, and even have an effect on other generations. The effects are particularly strong amongst certain subgroups of children, particularly Hispanic and African-American children, dual language learners, children who are homeless or in foster care, those who qualify for free lunch, and those whose mothers didn’t graduate high school. When disadvantaged children receive high-quality birth-to-five education, such as Early Head Start plus Head Start, the return on investment can be as high as 13% annually (Garcia et al, 2016).

For over 40 years, Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy has provided safe, nurturing, bilingual, and bicultural early childhood programming with proven results. The ELA offers center-based and home-based options for children to help prepare them to excel in kindergarten and beyond and children with special needs are welcome. If you or someone you know is looking to place their child/ren in a program this fall, refer them to call 773-645-2316.
