Chicago, IL (July 16, 2021) – Casa Central is pleased to announce a $180,000 multi-year grant received from The Chicago Community Trust (The Trust) an organization dedicated to uniting generous donors, committed nonprofits and caring residents to effect lasting change that moves the entire region forward. This award is part of The Chicago Community Trust’s Promoting Wellbeing initiative.

“This award will support Casa Central’s promotion of wellbeing with targeted interventions for those we serve,” said President and CEO of Casa Central, Martin R. Castro, "and exemplifies the Chicago Community Trust’s committed partnership with communities of color as we jointly seek to build a more equitable Chicagoland.”

The Trust is committed to closing the Chicago region’s racial and ethnic wealth gap and addressing its residents’ critical needs. This includes supporting organizations that build an infrastructure of caregiving through initiatives that advocate for caregivers and services that provide care to residents in need of support such as children exposed to trauma, people with disabilities, and aging adults.
