Casa Central stands in solidarity with Ukrainian President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people as they repel the unwarranted and illegal invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation. We condemn the violence and attacks against Ukrainian sovereignty and pray for the continued strength and safety of the Ukrainian leaders and freedom fighters.
Along with other local, national, and global organizations, Casa Central is fully committed to peace, understanding, and tolerance and we continue to hope for reflection, control, and an end to this crisis. As we have with refugees from Hurricane Maria and Afghanistan in the recent past, Casa Central stands ready to serve the needs of Ukrainian refugees should they arrive in the Chicago area.
