At this time, all Casa Central programs and departments are fully operational via onsite or remote service delivery, including our Home Care Services program. Our Adult Wellness Center will continue providing remote services. While we look forward to reopening the Adult Wellness Center, we do not yet have a date on which we plan to resume on-site operations.

If you are seeking information regarding programs for older adults, Casa Central does offer Home Care Services and the Adult Wellness Center, which is a day service. Casa Central’s accredited Adult Wellness Center (AWC) offers daily center-based care to Latino and other older adults, 60 years of age and older, and provides a wide variety of fun and therapeutic activities that help older adults maintain, improve, and/or restore their emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Our Adult Wellness Center offers unique bilingual and bicultural services within a safe and supervised setting.

What We Offer
Since 1981, the Adult Wellness Center’s dependability and high quality of care have earned Casa Central a deep level of trust within the community. The Adult Wellness Center takes great pride in making sure that the program’s staff is the next best thing to family, offering caregivers valuable respite and the peace of mind they deserve. Benefits of the program include:
- Increased activity and opportunities for socialization
- Maintaining, improving, and/or restoring emotional, cognitive and physical well-being through social and therapeutic activities
The Adult Wellness Center provides supervised, structured activities including:
- Daily breakfast, lunch and a snack
- Arts and crafts
- Aerobics, Arthritis, and balance exercise programs
- Billiards, dominoes, and other table games
- Bingo and “Lotería”
- Birthday celebrations
- Cultural exchange
- Dance club
- Field trips
- Health workshops
- Holiday celebrations
- Knitting classes
- Meditation and devotionals
- Music performance/choir
- Theatre club
The Adult Wellness Center provides pick up and drop off transportation services within certain boundaries of Chicago (West to Harlem Avenue, North to Peterson, East to Lake Shore Drive, and South to 55th Street). Family members also have the option of dropping off and picking up their loved ones if they are not within these boundaries.
The Adult Wellness Center is open from Monday through Friday. Programming for participants occurs from 8 AM through 3 PM, while the Adult Wellness Center office remains open until 4:30 PM.
How to Get Involved
When you’re ready, we invite you to come to the Adult Wellness Center for a private tour. Our staff will tell you more about the program and answer any questions you may have.
If you are interested in our program and seeking subsidized care, you must call the Illinois Department on Aging for a referral. Please inform them that you are interested in our program specifically (The Adult Wellness Center Program at Casa Central). The Illinois Department on Aging can be contacted by phone at 312.744.4016.
The Adult Wellness Center does not provide tours on a walk-in basis. All tours last half an hour and must be scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at either 11 AM or 1 PM. The Adult Wellness Center can also provide a one day free trial of our services. No transportation is provided by the Adult Wellness Center for free trial day participants.
