Nilsa Ramirez
Vice President of Children's Services

As Casa Central’s Vice President of Children's Services, Nilsa Ramirez provides administrative oversight of the Early Learning Academy (including serving as the agency’s Head Start Director), School-Age Program, and Violence Prevention & Intervention Program.  “My Goal in life has always been to help others in any way possible and I believe that Casa Central will grant me the opportunity to accomplish my goal.”

Nilsa holds a B.A. in Applied Behavioral Sciences from National Louis University Chicago and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University Chicago. She has worked in the Early Childhood field for 30 years, 17 for the YMCA of Metropolitan as an Early Education and Care Site Director, 8 years at Chicago Commons as a Family Service worker and 5 years at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago where she started her career in the field.

When she’s not at Casa Central, you’ll find Nilsa playing softball, volleyball, dominoes and hanging out with family and friends.  She especially enjoys planning theme parties and vacationing with her husband and daughter.  Fun fact about Nilsa, she was voted most athletic in high school.
